The new one Alfa Romeo Junior 280 Veloce is the protagonist at Caramulo Motorfestival 2024 where he made his debut at “Michelin Historic Hill Climb” driven by Carlos TavaresCEO of Stellantis but also a former racing driver and a great motorsport enthusiast. Caramulo Motor Festivalone of the main automotive events in Portugalis taking place these days, with the participation of cars modern and historical. It is organized by the Caramulo Museum in collaboration with the Automobile Club of Portugal, the event sees Alfa Romeo as Official Sponsor.

Was Carlos Tavares to drive the new Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce at the Caramulo Motorfestival 2024, set up for the occasion by the Alfa Romeo Style Centre with a special livery in homage to motorsport and Portuguese flag.
The competition was paved the way for the Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport 510 HPa limited edition celebrating Alfa Romeo’s victory at the 1928 Mille Miglia. The new Junior and the Tonale Italian Tributealong with classic and sporty models of the Alfa Romeo Club Portugal.
Visitors were able to take part in simulation races and admire 12 Alfa Romeo models, including three of the Caramulo Museum (1956 1900C SS, 1961 Giulietta Spider Veloce and 1970 Giulia GT 1300 Junior), driven by female crews.

Carlos Tavares is known worldwide as the CEO of Stellantis, a giant in the automotive industry, but few know that he has a great passion and talent for car racing.
Tavares, since the tender age of 22, has cultivated a deep love for racing cars. This passion has led him to participate in over 500 races of different specialties throughout his life. It is not a simple hobby, but a true vocation that has seen him actively involved as a driver in numerous competitions, obtaining significant results.
He has 118 races under his belt with 23 podiums, including a second place at the Adac Total 24 Hours of Nürburgring in the V2T category. Passionate about cars, he was already a volunteer track marshal on the Estoril circuit at the age of 14. An amateur driver since the age of twenty-two, in 1983 he started as a rally and endurance driver with his friends Bruno Cébile, as co-driver, and Arnaud Montagné, as technical assistant. He has participated in the Monte-Carlo Rally and has his own team Clementeam Racingby analogy with the daughter’s first name.
In 2014 Carlos Tavares won the A2 class of the 24 Hours of Barcelona with a Peugeot RCZ Cup run by Milan Competition together with Jean-Louis Dauger, Denis Gibaud and Jérôme Maudet.
He also collects classic cars and owns a 1979 Peugeot 504 V6 Coupé, a 1976 Alpine A110 and a 1966 Porsche 912. He is also a member of the jury of the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille 2017 and 2019, an automobile elegance competition.
