The emergency contract awarded by hand to the company in which the current chief of staff of the president of the Generalitat Valenciana worked is not the only one that the company has received from an institution chaired by Carlos Mazón. It was precisely Mazón who, from the presidency of the Alicante Provincial Council, opened the doors of the province to the company STV Gestión SL, domiciled in Murcia.
It did so in 2021, with an award of 413,223 euros to a Temporary Union of Companies formed by STV Gestión SL and Foresma SA. José Manuel Cuenca, current chief of staff of Mazón and regional secretary in the Presidency, was responsible for the Communication and Institutional Relations department of STV Gestión SL between November 2017 and January 2023. He then briefly joined the PP parliamentary group as an advisor in the Corts Valencianes and, after Mazón’s victory in the 2023 regional elections and the initial pact with Vox, Cuenca was appointed regional secretary of the Cabinet of the President and Communication. He is one of the three strong men of Mazón’s ‘politburo’ in the Palau de la Generalitat.
