Genoa – Banca Carige closed 2021 with a net loss of 92.7 million euros, an improvement on the 251.6 million of 2020 and in substantial alignment with the preliminary figure of 90 million communicated last month. The financial statements were approved today by the board of directors.

In detail
The differences with respect to the preliminary value, informs a note, are limited to some items deriving from updates in the assessments conducted on assets such as real estate and credit portfolios, distribution contracts and deferred tax assets (DTA).
In particular, at the conclusion of the in-depth analyzes conducted on the assessment of the probability of recovery of the DTAs over time, at 31 December 2021, at a consolidated level, the total of DTAs recognized in the financial statements amounts to 784 million while off-balance sheet DTAs amounted to a 515 million.
The final phased-in capital ratios as at 31 December 2021 remained substantially unchanged compared to the preliminary ones: CET1 ratio at 10.8% 2 and Total Capital Ratio at 13.1% 2, with an RWA level of 9.2 billion . The fully loaded ratios as at 31 December 2021 are respectively: CET1 ratio 9.0% and TC ratio 11.3%.
