The woman who caused the death of the two young carabinieri on the night between 6 and 7 April has been released from hospital
The 31-year-old woman NL, accused of vehicular homicide for causing the accident that led to the death of two policemen in Countryside, in the province of Salerno, was discharged from the San Francesco d'Assisi hospital in Oliveto Citra. The woman, who suffered significant injuries in her accident, is now awaiting the outcome of the counter test to check for the presence of alcohol or drugs in her blood at the time of the accident. The first tests gave positive results, revealing that the woman may have been under the influence of narcotics.
Meanwhile, the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa expressed his condolences for the loss of the two carabinieri and the victims of the explosion that occurred in the Bargi hydroelectric power plant.
