And how can the service be further implemented to meet future user needs? The answer to all these questions is simple, at least for Share Now: Artificial Intelligence (AI). Artificial Intelligence, together with its accurate forecasts, it is in fact at the center of Share Now’s corporate strategy to be able to manage a fleet of approximately 11,000 sharing vehicles in an increasingly efficient way. The ultimate goal is to identify even better customer needs (what, where and when), so as to flexibly adapt the offer to these parameters and, consequently, to their individual needs.

Therefore, the analysis of local conditions is a fundamental prerequisite for car sharing to be successful. After an initial study by the development team, our technology comes into play, developed entirely in-house, which, using artificial intelligence, defines a series of parameters for forecasting demand, such as socio-demographic data, number of points of interest in the city, efficiency of public transport. In this way, the most optimal operational area of the service is established and, over time, decisions relating to the revision of the area itself, such as expansion or reduction, are made. Ensure the availability of vehicles in the right place at the right timeOnce the business area is properly defined, the fleet can only be used efficiently if the vehicles are actually in the right place at the right time. Based on artificial intelligence, SHARE NOW can predict when, where and how many cars are needed and then calculate demand based on traffic. In addition, the algorithm continuously assigns each vehicle a score that estimates how soon a car will be rented again. In this way, the company is able to predict if it is more convenient to wait for the start of a new rental, assign a discount on the rate to the vehicle or have it repositioned by the service where there is a greater demand. The goal is to minimize the intervention of the service and ensure that vehicles are always moved by users.
Optimize vehicle cleaning and maintenance: the user experience inside the vehicle is critical to the success of car sharing: no one wants to drive a dirty vehicle. Share Now has therefore developed software solutions which, through the use of artificial intelligence that assigns each car a score on the cleanliness of the passenger compartment, predict when it is necessary to intervene. Predictive maintenance involves the use of algorithms that reprocess the usage data: the time of the last cleaning, the car model and, most importantly, the feedback that customers give in the app about the status of the vehicle. Develop the offer in line with the demand: car sharing grows thanks to the ability to quickly adapt to changing customer needs. To ensure further product development based on demand, Share Now must be able to make daily decisions based on accurate and reliable data. Thanks to the constant in-depth analysis of this data, forward-looking improvements of the product can be achieved. This happened for example with the implementation of the vehicle reservation up to 100 days in advance.
