Vehicle production in Brazil fell 11.4% in September compared to August, while sales of cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses fell 0.4%, the automakers’ association, Anfavea, reported on Monday.
In August, the number of vehicles assembled in the country reached 259.6 thousand units, including passenger cars, light utility vehicles, trucks and buses. It was the highest number since October 2019, when 288.5 thousand vehicles were assembled.

The volume assembled in September totaled 230 thousand automobiles, increasing the year-to-date increase to 7%, at 1.87 million units. Licenses totaled 236.3 thousand vehicles, accumulating growth of 14.1% in the year, to 1.86 million units.
