Only in this city, so far this year about 40 captures have been made in buildings
If the coordinator of Civil Protection of Totana, José María Sánchez Pascual, can boast of something, it is to capture reptiles. This year there are already almost 40 snakes and snakes that he has removed from various places, especially from houses located on the outskirts. The last case happened this Friday, when the owner of a phone booth came face to face with this specimen of snake, of the variety known as ‘ladder’, not poisonous and which usually reach up to 1.5 meters in length.
“So far this year I will have removed about 40 specimens of all kinds, from snakes or exotic species,” Sánchez pointed out. To capture them he uses a loop that he has made himself. This Friday’s ladder snake is already loose and safe from city traffic in a part of Sierra Espuña.
