On January 6, 2021, some 10,000 people -mostly Trump supporters- marched towards the Capitol and some 800 stormed the building. There were 5 deaths and about 140 injured agents.
The legislative committee that investigated that assault recommended in December to the Department of Justice that it indict Trump (2017-2021), considering among other charges that he incited or supported the insurrection.
