The National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) Puebla called on the parties involved in the conflict involving two boards of trustees in the University of the Americas Puebla (Udlap) overcome the differences, comply with the judicial decisions and allow the release of the facilities located in San Andrés Cholula.
After the Third District Court on Civil, Administrative and Federal Labor and Trials Court of the Federal Judicial Power ordered the return of the Udlap Board of Trustees headed by Margarita Jenkins de Landa, to return the facilities and recognized Luis Ernesto Derbez Bautista as rector; The industrial representation highlighted the importance of returning the campus to normality for the benefit of the university community.
“It is imperative that the UDLAP campus returns to normal, with the entire operation, reiterating the decision of the federal judge, in which this is settled in the courts,” the Canacintra announced through a statement.
The business organization highlighted the importance of Udlap continuing to fulfill its teaching function and added that its graduates are fundamental in different companies, job generators and tax payers.
“Unrelated to any resolution, taking into account that the Transformation Industry is part, as recipients of the prestigious students of the institution, and participant in multiple study and research programs underway in this house of higher studies, we consider that Udlap never it has ceased to fulfill the function for which it was created ”, highlights the positioning.
The Canacintra expressed concern about the situation through the university institution that has more than 10 thousand students, and teachers who work in the house of studies, for which he appealed that the parties involved find solutions.
“For the benefit of everyone in Puebla, but mainly of the UDLAP university community, we urge JCIAP and the Judiciary to find solutions in an institutional manner and in accordance with the law,” the document ends.
