As anticipated a few days ago by Activision, Call of Duty Vanguard was shown during a live event within Call of Duty Warzone, where players were able to try a special mission, concluding everything with the official release date: November 5, 2021.
The new chapter of the shooter series of the same name was at the center of numerous rumors and indiscretions. Starting with the same title, Vanguard, which was finally confirmed by the same software house through a first official trailer that showed the game to the world.
The setting in the middle of the Second World War has been suggested by several sources, but in the last few days of the images on the Verdansk map have confirmed the rumors about the new version of the area and replacement of the equipment from the cold war of Warzone.
According to an announcement posted on the PlayStation Store via an image uploaded, and later officially confirmed by Activision itself with the trailer, the game would be shown today, August 19, at 19:30 (Italian time) via an in-game event from Call of Duty Warzone.
The live event focused on the Battle of Verdansk. After entering a lobby, players were thrown into a gameplay session, with the mission of blow up a moving armored train throughout the entire map, before having to reach an extraction point in the midst of a huge one aerial bombing.
Through the event we received confirmation that Vanguard it will be set during the Second World War and will host a character-focused campaign which will see multiple war scenarios. At the end of the Verdansk session, in fact, a new trailer was shown that presents all the sides involved.
The players who attended the Warzone they received a special package with items like maps, a new skin for vehicles, a clock and much more. Everything had been anticipated through a tweet from the official profile of call of Duty, teasing the players with a description: “join the battle, defeat the target and reach the extraction point to get the rewards“.
Another novelty announced during the Sledgehammer game event is the presence of one Zombie mode also in Vanguard, made by Treyarch, already authors of other similar contents for Black Ops Cold War and Outbreak mode.
Finally, regarding the release date, it was announced that Call of Duty Vanguard will be available on November 5th, as anticipated by a leak published shortly before the event.
