Many are asking to remove it from Call fo Duty Vanguard.
The players of Call of Duty: Vanguard have discovered a game system that alters the mechanics of weapon projectiles. This feature is called “Bloom” and hasn’t actually been seen in a Call of Duty game since Sledgehammer’s last entry into the franchise in 2017.
In a new video from TrueGameData on YouTube, the channel analyzes exactly how this secret system affects the spread of projectiles from certain weapons in Vanguard. With this mechanic, the bullets from some weapons in Vanguard will not always hit where the player is aiming, regardless of whether or not you are aiming downward when firing. In particular, the spread of SMGs ‘bullets is affected by mechanics, causing some SMGs’ bullets to deviate from where the scope is aimed.
Implementing this mechanic is a Sledgehammer strategy for Call of Duty: Vanguard. On the one hand, it discourages the use of automatic weapons such as assault rifles and long-range submachine guns, as with Bloom enabled, there is no guarantee of hitting the target if the bullets are deflected. On the other hand, some players may feel that they have unfairly missed shots with weapons such as SMGs at relatively close ranges.
Players have already found a way to slightly stem this system: by increasing the accuracy of the weapon with stabilizers and special accessories, the Bloom mechanics are reduced. Now it remains to be seen if, with players complaining, Sledgehammer will decide to remove it.
