The official announcement of the next Call of Duty, which unless surprises will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2it would seem to be upon us, given that Infinity Ward is teasing fans of the series on social media.
As reported by VGC, the Activision Blizzard studio has updated its social profiles of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram by changing its profile picture and cover with black backgrounds, at least in appearance.
In reality, by retouching these photos and increasing their brightness it is possible to glimpse the silhouette of what would appear to be Ghost, a character who appeared for the first time in Modern Warfare 2 of 2009. In short, for many it is a clue that would seem to indicate that the reveal of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now imminent.
However second Tom Henderson, known rather reliable insider when it comes to Activision Blizzard’s shooters, the official announcement is indeed on schedule, but it’s not as close as many believe. With a post on Twitter, the deep throat in fact indicated the end of May as a possible period for the reveal, also stating that the first official trailer is still in progress at the Infinity Ward studios.
In any case, it seems that something is moving at Infinity Ward, we just have to wait for the next news.
To pass the wait, here’s the trailer for Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard announcing the crossover with Godzilla and King Kong during season 3.
