The transport group based in San Javier promotes its internationalization process with the creation of a firm specialized in the management of maritime and air projects in the United States
The Caliche Group, based in San Javier, fully enters the North American logistics market with the start-up of a subsidiary in Miami that specializes in the management of maritime and air projects. For this, it will have its own team that will work in coordination from the central offices in the municipality of Marmenor. The economic investment exceeds 3 million euros in the first phase.
It is a landing, with its own facilities, which is part of the strategic expansion plan of the Murcian company, with which it plans to move more than 30,000 containers by sea and air each year in five years, which means doubling the current figures of business in both lines.
The establishment in the United States also endorses another step for the regional transport company in its internationalization process within a key market. The new firm is called Caliche American Company. It should be noted that this initiative reinforces the activity that the group currently carries out on the five continents through a network of 431 correspondents spread over 94 countries. A way of working that helps streamline processes, since it solves bureaucratic procedures derived from different regulations and legislation.
“The aim is to continue advancing in our objective of offering a real international door-to-door transport service, with people on the ground who provide the maximum guarantees to our clients, both when exporting and importing all kinds of products,” he explained. The company currently has a capacity of up to 1,350,000 cubic meters distributed in 29 logistics centers, distributed throughout the Mediterranean arc. During the past year, the group distributed more than 4.2 million tons of products -from fruits and vegetables to industrial or sanitary items- in 150 countries.
