4% quota not reached, a disappointment after last Thursday’s sentencing to 11 years and 2 months for alleged irregularities in the management of migrants of the “Riace model”
CATANZARO. The former mayor of Riace Domenico “Mimmo” Lucano did not make it to be elected to the Regional Council of Calabria. Despite an excellent personal result, with 9,779 preferences, the list in which he was leaders in all three constituencies in support of Luigi de Magistris’ candidacy for president, did not reach the 4% threshold, stopping at 2.39. Lucano, last Thursday, three days after the vote, was sentenced by the Locri Court to 11 years and 2 months for alleged irregularities in the management of migrants of the “Riace model”. A conviction that has caused numerous political controversies.
