An outrageous case occurred in Argentina, where citizens continue to be dismayed at the scope of human cruelty: a dog was vilely tortured by people performing a ritual.
The animal was rescued with blows and injuries to its body, burned eyes, no nails, no teeth and even scabies.
According to local media, the canine was the victim of a group that makes macumbas, a voodoo ritual and santeria.
Débora, an animal protectionist and the one who rescued the dog, described the event as something macabre.

“He had needles in his belly, he was missing teeth and with one of them stuck in his belly; in addition to cigarette burns that lead one to think that they had her for a ritual because in the place where we found her there were many offerings, ”she told ‘Radioinform 3’ of ‘Cadena 3 Rosario’.
In addition, he assured that unfortunately animal abuse during rituals is quite common.

“It was surrounded by offerings. It’s not the first time we’ve seen something like this,” she noted.
For now, the animal is being treated and checked by the veterinarians.
“The dog is in good spirits, thanks to love and she was able to eat a little more, she was very scared and couldn’t stop crying” says Débora.
