His Excellency Salem Al-Marri has professional experience that he gained over 15 years of distinguished contributions to the national space sector through a number of pioneering programs, including: the Emirates Mars Exploration Program 2117, the Emirates Mars Exploration Project “Probe of Hope”, the UAE Astronaut Program, and the Tatweer Program He is currently supervising the ambitious strategic plan to expand the scope of the work of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center by joining new scientific fields and developing technologies that support future space exploration.
In 2014, he was awarded the “First of the Emirates” award in recognition of his role as the project manager for the development of the first two Emirati satellites for Earth observation and observation purposes, “DubaiSat 1” and “DubaiSat 2,”.
