The Butantan Institute receives today (8) from China 2 million ready-made doses of Coronavac to be delivered to the National Immunization Plan (PNI), of the Ministry of Health.

On the last 5th, a new shipment of 4,000 liters of active pharmaceutical ingredient (IFA), the raw material needed for the production of the vaccine, arrived in Brazil. The load was added to the other 2,000 liters that had been received on Sunday (1). With these 6,000 liters, over 12 million doses of Coronavac will be produced in the national territory.
According to information from Butantan, since January 17, when the emergency use of Coronavac was approved by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), the institute has already made available 64.849 million doses of the immunizing agent to the Ministry of Health.
The state government informed that tomorrow, at 8 am, another batch of vaccines will be released for the PNI.
