The Minister of Community Development and Chairperson of the Quality of Life Council, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, confirmed that the quality of life index in the UAE is on an accelerating rise in various aspects of life, socially, healthily, educationally and economically, with the support of the leadership’s confidence and its forward-looking vision for the future, and in light of the changes that reinforced the new methodology of government work. Coinciding with the fiftieth year, and in line with the reality of attraction and prosperity that the country is witnessing with the launch of Expo 2020 Dubai.
She indicated that the state of recovery from the “Covid-19” pandemic that we are experiencing in reality in the UAE, and the country’s global leadership in total vaccine doses, and the proportion of vaccine recipients from the population, are explicit indicators to control the epidemiological situation, and confirm the preservation of public health as a government priority for quality of life. at the level of the Emirates.
This came during Buhumaid presiding over the second meeting of the Quality of Life Council for the current year 2021, which was held with the feature of “remotely” visual communication, in which members of the Quality of Life Council participated, from federal and local government agencies and executive councils at the state level.
She said that the well-established government principle of quality of life in the UAE is derived from the achievements on the ground, and from the aspirations and directives of the country’s leadership towards achieving more and always emphasizing the best, which reflects the saying of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler Dubai, “The quality of life is a priority in our daily work and at the heart of the government’s priorities. We want our society to be the most cohesive, healthy and the happiest.”
She added that the UAE is one of the first countries to take proactive measures in managing the Corona pandemic and reducing its effects, as plans, initiatives and activities undertaken by all state institutions showed an active and proactive role in reducing the effects of the pandemic.
During the Quality of Life Council meeting, the efforts of the health sector in the recovery phase, and the efforts of the education sector for this phase, in addition to the Ministry of Interior’s security quality of life strategy, the results of the third community design forum for quality of life, and marketing developments for quality of life initiatives in the UAE, along with preparations The National Quality of Life Survey 2022.
The meeting highlighted the efforts of the health sector in the phase of recovery from the pandemic, as the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in enhancing the quality of life of individuals during the last period were presented, in addition to the mechanism for controlling the pandemic, enhancing recovery capabilities and returning to normal life.
