First Porsche with its Taycan, then Ferrari and Lamborghini will also arrive. One day too Bugatti. The transition to sustainable mobility is pushing more and more car manufacturers to embrace electrification and while some brands have already unveiled their battery-powered racing cars, some are still paving the way. However, there was a first example of an electric Bugatti, even if it is not a car. In fact, the Molsheim-based carmaker presented its first electric scooter, unveiled at the CES in Las Vegas. The e-scooter was created in collaboration with Bytech International, a US company, weighs 15 kg and has a range of 35 km.
The Bugatti electric scooter has a body made of magnesium alloy, a material that makes it very light. To push him thinks a 700 Watt electric motor paired with a 26 volt, 10 amp battery. The latter can be removed and recharged comfortably at home. The times to fill up with energy with a normal domestic socket are around 4 hours. There are three driving modes, Economy, City and Sport, and based on the one selected, the scooter also guarantees a maximum speed variable respectively between 15, 20 and 30 km / h. This e-scooter is also able to tackle slopes of up to 15 degrees.
It is not about the performance of a Veyron or a Chiron but the vehicle for urban micro-mobility signed by the French brand undoubtedly enjoys a distinctive design, with the livery available in the characteristic Bugatti Blue but also in black and silver. The rear light is then able to project the logo of the transalpine brand onto the asphalt, the two letters “EB” while on the dashboard there is a digital dashboard through which it is possible to know all the information relating to the gear and the state of charge of the battery. Bugatti has not disclosed the price of its scooter or whether it will be put on the market.
