The thief had broken into a village near Rugby in the Yorkshire region and searched for what could be stolen before putting the golden and brown snakes in a bag, before escaping from the site.
“A criminal broke into the village and looked for things to steal before he stole the snakes, a bag, some money and keys,” Yorkshire Police said.
Police confirmed that the snakes have distinctive markings and are easy to identify, adding that the theft took place between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to “Reuters”.
The royal python usually lives in the forests of central and western Africa, and reaches a length of 1.2 meters.
And the police called on anyone who notices strange behavior in someone in the area to report to the authorities for investigation.
