Briton Anthony Garnett, who left his wife and two children for Ukrainian refugee Sophia Karkadym, was detained after a violent quarrel with a Ukrainian woman. This was reported on February 4 by the newspaper Daily Mail.
According to the publication, on Saturday night, the neighbors turned to the police due to the fact that the couple was very loudly sorting out the relationship. Garnett was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct. Six hours later, when the man calmed down, he was released.
It is noted that the conflict between cohabitants may arise due to the Ukrainian woman’s dissatisfaction with how much time her partner devotes to his children from previous relationships. At the time of their argument, Anthony was playing an online video game with his six-year-old daughter.
As the source explained, constant tension reigns between the lovers, since Karkadym wants to become a mother, and her chosen one had previously had a vasectomy. In addition, at the moment both are experiencing problems with employment, and this circumstance also does not strengthen their union.
Earlier, on December 16, it became known that Garnett and Karkadym resumed their relationship after a short breakup. The Briton followed his beloved to Lviv and persuaded her to return to Yorkshire. In turn, the Ukrainian woman promised to stop drinking, since it was her craving for alcohol that caused the quarrel.
The romance between Karkadym and Garnett, which attracted everyone’s attention, began in May. It was noted that in just 10 days of staying in West Yorkshire, a Ukrainian refugee took her husband away from the English woman who sheltered her. The woman kicked out the homeowner, but the unfaithful husband left the house with her. Garnett later lost his job due to the scandal and went bankrupt. He complained that credit cards were at zero, and that the rented apartment did not even have furniture.
Later in September, Garnett admitted that he broke up with the Ukrainian woman after a serious quarrel. According to him, the woman “grabbed a knife and hit the wall several times with it.”
In October, information appeared that the refugee had decided to return to her homeland. Then, during a telephone conversation, Garnett told Karkady that they would never be a couple again, and offered to remain friends.
