London

Britain’s new conservative prime minister Liz Truss will hold his first Prime Minister’s Question Time in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

Opposite him is the leader of the British opposition, i.e. the Labor Party Keir Starmer.

Truss and Starmer’s first meeting at Prime Minister’s Question Time immediately began to be dominated by Britain’s toughest challenges: the sharp rise in energy prices, the cost of living crisis and other economic problems.

Starmer briefly welcomed the new prime minister, and immediately asked what Truss thinks about the one-time taxation of energy companies’ huge profits.

“Every pound that is not taxed means more debt,” Starmer said.

Truss is against one-time taxes for companies. “Mr. Arvon is now looking at this matter from the wrong point of view,” the prime minister said.

My panties according to which the Labor Party just wants to raise taxes. According to Starmer, on the other hand, Truss is making ordinary citizens pay for the energy crisis.

“I’m going to take immediate action to help with energy bills,” the Prime Minister promised.

Truss also wants to improve energy supply by increasing nuclear energy and North Sea oil and gas production.

Former prime minister Theresa May asked Truss a pleasant question: Why have all British female prime ministers come from the Conservative Party.

Truss replied that he really doesn’t know why Labor can’t find a female leader, or even a leader from outside North London.

May’s and Truss’ joint barb was directed in the direction of the Labor Party.

British Parliament the sessions of the House of Commons are great political entertainment at their best.

For politicians themselves, success or failure in appearances in the House of Commons can determine the direction of a career. In British politics, it’s hard to get to the top if you’re not good at performing.

Tuesday Trussia, who started as prime minister, has been described as a stiff performer.

When speaking to his own people, i.e. to members of the Conservative Party at campaign events, Truss has known how to engage his audience. However, as prime minister, he no longer speaks only to himself, but also to the bloodthirsty opposition and all British voters.

On the other hand, even the leader of the opposition, Starmer, is not considered a particularly engaging speaker in Britain. He has been criticized for being a gray character. However, as a lawyer and former head of the prosecution, Starmer has a strong argumentative base.

In the Labor Party let’s now hope that Truss will be easier prey for the opposition than his predecessor Boris Johnson.

Ready to speak and lightning fast, Johnson dominated performance opportunities with his personality alone, even if he didn’t know anything about the subject himself.
