The UK intends to unveil a new plan to evacuate the most vulnerable Afghans, in particular girls and women. This was reported by the Sky News TV channel with reference to the office of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the government are reportedly finalizing a new special plan to allow Afghans to seek asylum in the UK. At the same time, it is not specified how many people will receive asylum under the plan.
The day before, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense reported that about two thousand Afghans had already been removed within the framework of the resettlement and assistance program for Afghanistan.
On August 15, the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) announced that they control the entire territory of Afghanistan. This happened after militants from different sides entered Kabul. Now administration of Afghanistan has been transferred to a temporary council that will hand over power to the Taliban. The new council includes the head of the Supreme Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah and former President Hamid Karzai. President Ashraf Ghani left the country.
