Britain Britain intends to make supporting the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas illegal

Britannian Minister of the Interior Priti Patel presented that the Islamist Hamas organization should be banned under the Terrorist Act. In the future, a Hamas supporter or supporter could be sentenced in Britain to 14 years in prison.

Hamas is a Palestinian Islamist group that opposes a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Its goal is an Islamist state.

Hamas has both a political and a military wing. In politics, the organization is the largest party in the Palestinian parliament.

Many regions, such as the European Union, the United States and Canada, have already classified Hamas as a terrorist organization. In these countries, Hamas members have been able to be imprisoned and the organisation’s funds and assets confiscated.

However, Britain has only condemned the military wing of Hamas, not the political faction. The new law will therefore bring British law closer to European Union and US law.

Minister of the Interiori Patel plans to push for a new law in the British Parliament next week. Patel called Hamas deeply anti-Semitic. According to him, it is impossible to distinguish between the military and political sides of the organization.

“Hamas has significant terrorist capabilities, including access to numerous advanced weapons and terrorist training facilities,” Patel wrote on Twitter.

“That is why I have acted today to ban Hamas altogether.”

In the past, very different statements have been made in Britain about Hamas. Former Chairman of the Labor Party Jeremy Corbyn called Hamas a friend in 2009. He later regretted his statement, he says British newspaper Guardian.

Hamas has condemned Britain ‘s recent plans, the news channel reported al-Jazeera.

“Instead of apologizing and correcting its historical sins against the Palestinians, Britain is supporting the oppressors at the expense of the victims,” the organization wrote.
