Brembo has completed the purchase of the J.Juan. The Spanish company, leader in the development and production of brake systems for motorcycles has now become the property of the Italian multinational: the operation was formalized by Brembo itself, which already on 28 April had announced the first details of what would later become the definitive acquisition. Definitive acquisition that has arrived, and which has cost the company led by Alberto Bombassei 73 million euros, amount paid using available liquidity.
Brembo has made it known that this outlay is subject to the usual adjustment mechanisms envisaged for similar transactions, which will be completed in the next 80 working days. “With the transaction, Brembo continues its path to become an authoritative Solution provider – reads an official note issued by Brembo – The acquisition of J.Juan in fact allows the Group to complete the range of solutions for the motorcycle braking system and to expand its family of brands for an expanding sector “. We recall that the electrical transition that is overwhelming the automotive sector is creating many problems for the component sector, of which Brembo itself is a part. Not surprisingly, Bombassei had explained in recent days: “We are manufacturers of components rather than finished products and many Italian companies manufacture parts for the internal combustion engine that it will gradually be abandoned. Conversion is an Italian problem but also a European one ”.
