A.The car of a 69-year-old elderly woman broke down on a barred level crossing on Saturday in Marbach because of a technical defect. At the last moment, the woman managed to get out of the vehicle: A train caught her car and hurled it against the railway barrier, as the Constance police headquarters announced in the evening.
The woman got away with the horror of the accident in the early afternoon. According to the police, one of the ten passengers on the train was slightly injured.
The car, the train and the barrier system suffered considerable damage totaling almost 100,000 euros. The woman was on the way from Marbach towards Rietheim.
