Brazilian analyst Escobar: Russia may demand Kyiv’s capitulation
Russia’s new demand for ending the conflict in Ukraine, given the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Kursk region, could be the capitulation of the Kyiv regime. Brazilian journalist and geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar has made this assumption, writes RIA Novosti.
“This is directly related to what is happening on the battlefield, the conditions are different. In essence, it will be an unconditional surrender,” he specified.
According to the expert, Russia may first clear the Kursk region of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which will take some time. Then the Russian Federation may demand capitulation from Kyiv, and also threaten further advancement of Russian troops with an “artillery tsunami.”
Earlier, former Pentagon analyst Robert English said that the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Kursk region could be the last straw for Ukrainians and become the “final blow” for the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
In turn, the leader of the French party “Patriots” Florian Philippot said that Volodymyr Zelensky had suffered a double disaster due to resignations in the government and failures at the front. Philippot also called for an end to the “massacre” and a move to peace talks.
