(Reuters) – Brazil registered 229 new deaths by Covid-19 this Saturday, with the number of fatal victims of the disease in the country reaching 614,186, disclosed the Ministry of Health.
There were also 9,233 new cases of coronaviruses, with total infections reaching 22,076,863, reported the folder
In absolute terms, Brazil is the second country with the highest number of deaths from the disease, behind only the United States, and the third in case count, below the USA and India.
Amid the advance of the vaccination campaign, however, the numbers of the pandemic have decreased on average in recent weeks.
