(Reuters) – Brazil recorded 45,501 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 32,535,923, according to data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday.
The country also recorded 122 new deaths in the period, reaching 672,033 deaths from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Mato Grosso do Sul did not update data on cases and deaths on Monday, according to the ministry.
Brazil has been registering increases in the numbers of cases and deaths from Covid-19 in recent weeks, as containment measures, such as the use of a mask and social distancing, were practically abandoned by the country.
