The Adaggio fund — raised in 2021 by Arbor Capital to buy music copyrights — has just been sold for R$140 million, sources familiar with the matter told the Brazil Journal website.
The buyer was an international financial investor specialized in the segment and which did not yet have a presence in Brazil. According to a source, the value of the transaction is twice the amount invested by Adaggio to buy its 150 catalogs, which contain more than 140 thousand songs.
Adaggio has in its collection catalogs of artists such as Dado Villa-Lobos, the guitarist of Legião Urbana; Jorge Aragão, one of the great names in samba; and Délcio Luiz da Silveira, author of Molejo hits such as “Brincadeira de Criança” and “Dança da Vassoura”; Toni Garrido, from the band Cidade Negra; and Dinho, the main composer of Mamonas Assassinas.
