The number of people who received two doses or a single dose of vaccines against covid-19 reached 155,194,905 this Tuesday, 1st, which corresponds to 72.24% of the population. With at least one dose, there are now 172,634,853 inhabitants of the country, equivalent to 80.36% of the total.
Brazil registered the application of 161,300 new doses of vaccines against the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to data gathered by the consortium of press vehicles together with secretariats from 26 states and the Federal District.
A total of 28,817 first doses, 30,347 second doses and 106,238 additional doses were administered. The number of single doses appears as -4,120 due to the data review process in some states.
In all, 64.5 million people have already been vaccinated with booster doses. People who received the second dose at least four months ago can take the third dose. The fourth doses, in turn, are indicated by the Ministry of Health only for immunosuppressed people, aged 12 years or older, who have also been vaccinated with the last application more than four months ago.
According to data gathered by the consortium, 8.9 million children aged 5 to 11 years (or 43.57% of the total) have already taken the first dose of the vaccine against covid-19.
In proportional terms, São Paulo is the state that most vaccinated the population: with at least the first dose, 88.12% of the inhabitants have been vaccinated. Already 81.05% received two doses or a single dose of the anti-covid vaccine.
