SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazil registered 164 new deaths from Covid-19 this Friday and the total number of deaths caused by the disease in Brazil reached 618,392, according to data released by the Ministry of Health.
Also according to the numbers of the folder, the country had 4,164 new cases of the disease this Friday, which took the total number of confirmed infections by the coronavirus to 22,230,737 since the beginning of the pandemic last year.
According to the ministry, the health departments of Bahia, Ceará, Sergipe, Alagoas, Tocantins, Roraima and Acre did not update the data on Covid this Friday.
Brazil is the second country with the highest number of deaths by Covid-19, behind only the United States, and the third in case count, below the USA and India.
