Mercedes will now exercise the right of revision? Toto Wolff had declared in the post-race that he was curious to see Max Verstappen’s on-board on the occasion of Lewis Hamilton’s attack outside at the bottom of the Reta Oposta at Descida do Lago during the 48th lap of the Brazilian Grand Prix .
From the pictures you can see how Verstappen does not give large steering angle when entering a bend, forcing Lewis Hamilton to widen the escape route like the Dutchman (although some wonder if Hamilton had managed to close the corner by entering at that speed). No particularly suspicious steering movement on the part of Verstappen, obviously he does not turn right towards Hamilton, but it is sufficient to keep the steering angle not too closed to slide outside without giving space to the rival.

The Race Commissioners have noticed the episode without even putting it under investigation. Race Director Michael Masi said he had thought of the black and white flag for Verstappen already at that juncture, while the stewards only used this tool when the Red Bull driver subsequently waved in an attempt to break Hamilton’s wake. We will see if there will be any news from Mercedes or from the Federation about Verstappen’s conduct of the race approaching the appointment in Qatar.
