This Thursday (25th), the Chamber of Deputies approved the basic text of deputy Marcelo Aro, who creates the Auxílio Brasil and Alimenta Brasil programs. Aros, who is the rapporteur of the measure, changed the text sent by the Executive regarding the income of the families that will be able to receive the values of the new program.
Now, families in poverty, whose monthly per capita family income is between R$ 105.01 and R$ 210, are eligible for the Auxílio Brasil program; and families in situations of extreme poverty, with monthly per capita family income equal to or less than R$ 105. These values are higher than initially forecast by the government.

The MP was approved in the form of a bill of conversion (PLV) proposed by Aro, which modified several points of the proposal of the Executive Power from the 461 amendments presented by other parliamentarians.
To participate in the program, families must meet requirements such as prenatal care, compliance with the national vaccination calendar and monitoring of nutritional status, and minimum school attendance.
The text also provides rules for leaving the program for families who have increased income and targets for poverty rates.
