Braid, Anniversary Edition was postponed from Thekla: the development team founded by Jonathan Blow has announced that the new release date of the celebratory edition is set for May 14th on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Netflix devices, and May 15th on Xbox One and Xbox Series
Previously scheduled for release at the end of April, Braid, Anniversary Edition will include a combination of 40 levels including new and redesigned scenariosfurther enriching a package that already appeared particularly substantial.
That's not all: the Anniversary Edition will also offer the opportunity to listen to over fifteen hours of author commentary, an exclusive level for Netflix subscribers, thirteen new puzzles that use sixteen extra components and more.
A timeless classic
The Anniversary Edition of Braid will aim to celebrate fifteen years of Jonathan Blow's classic, which at the time of its debut on Xbox 360 (with other platforms to follow) introduced some really important innovations within the puzzle platformer genre.
The mechanics relating to time manipulationwhich allows the protagonist to rewind events, is in fact reinterpreted depending on the level to offer an always different and compelling experience.
