According to the latest rumors, the Emilian popular would have improved its proposal by limiting the burden on the Interbank Fund to approximately 600-700 million compared to the previously indicated billion.

The original non-binding offer provided for the purchase at a symbolic price of 1 euro, prior recapitalization of Carige for 1 billion, and subsequent takeover bid on the remaining capital at 80 cents.

Meanwhile, the expectation for the decision of the Fitd is growing: in the afternoon the management committee of the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund will meet to sum up the three proposals received: in addition to Bper, in fact, among the suitors to the Ligurian bank, according to the latest rumors, there would also be Crédit Agricole Italy and the Cerberus fund.
