Blomgren won the first set with points 278-233 and the second 247-185.
The medal warmed up Käyhkö, who participated in the World Championships for the first time, despite the final loss.
“It feels great even though the world championship was pursued today,” Käyhkö assured in a press release.
“I didn’t get the best out of the final and Blomgren did well.”
In the semi-finals Käyhkö defeated South Korea Ji Geunin in a single-series match with points 248-211.
“In that game, I was happy with my performance and got a big series done,” Käyhkö said.
Käyhkö, 24, represents the Mainars of Varkaus at the club level.
On Saturday, the World Championships will continue with a qualifier for men’s and women’s team games on Saturday.
