The Minister of Justice, Felix Bolañosregretted this Saturday that the PP lowered “pensions”, after the Popular Party’s refusal to validate this week a Royal Decree, ‘omnibus’ which included various measures, including one related to pensions. The PP spokesperson, Miguel Telladoreplied that Bolaños is “a hoax with legs.”
Tellado and Bolaños starred this Saturday in a discussion on social networks on account of the rejection of the validation this week of the ‘omnibus’ Royal Decree in which the socialists included an increase in pensions and aid to those affected by the DANAbut also the transfer of a mansion to the PNV in Paris and the continuity of the social coat of arms, among other measures.
The first message was sent by Bolaños who stated that the PP justifies its no to the initiative because “encourages squattingraises VAT and gives a mansion to the PNV”, although the popular voted “yes to suspending evictions in 2023, 2022 and 2021”.
Likewise, he argued that the Royal Decree “does not talk about VAT” and that the matter related to the “palace was agreed upon” by the former president. Mariano Rajoy“. Therefore, he concluded that the “reality” is that “the PP lowers pensions“.
Tellado did not take long to respond forcefully to the minister’s publication. “Felix, you are a hoax with legs“. The PP leader stated that “the palace given to the PNV was denied by the Supreme Court” and that “the lehendakari”, at that time the PSOE spokesperson in Congress, Patxi López, “was against it.”
“We voted against the Decree because it does not include the VAT reductions on basic foods in force until December. You should treat with more respect the intelligence of the Spanish,” he expressed.
From the social media account of the PSOE they also shared a video in which they explained that in “no article, in any paragraph, in any sentence” and “in no line is there an increase in VAT on food and electricity”, although Tellado what he reproached is that precisely they are not included VAT reductions on food.
In any case, in the video, the PSOE explains that anyone can review the text of the Royal Decree to verify that there is no talk of the VAT increase and questioned whether it is a “lie”, whether the PP “has not even read this Royal Decree” or whether “it is part of its destructive opposition strategy manual, but not against the government, but against all citizens.”
