Biswajit Daimari, the founding member of the Bodoland People’s Front, resigned as the executive chairman of the front on Wednesday. Daimari will now join the Bharatiya Janata Party. At a press conference on Saturday, Daimary said he would resign from the primary membership of the BPF as the party has no plans to improve people’s lives. He said, “I will campaign in favor of BJP in the upcoming BTC election”.
