Is this a scientific study? Meh, a Nobel Prize is probably not in it. Is it nice to hold the outcome as complete truth to BMW and Audi drivers? Of course. ScrapCarComparison, a scrap car comparison website, liked to research which car brands attract the most psychopaths. They had 2,000 drivers complete a questionnaire that revealed psychopathic traits, such as an inflated sense of self or a lack of guilt.
Based on the questionnaire, the company made a list of car brands and their psychopath score. All car brands together score an average of 6.6 out of 36 points. BMW scores highest with 12.1 points. Audi is right behind with 11.7 points. We did not expect number three, because that is Fiat with 7.0 points. So just above average. The car brands with the lowest score are Skoda (3.2), Kia (4.2) and Seat (4.3).
Incidentally, you can ask yourself whether it is the car brands that invite people with psychopathic traits, or whether driving an Audi, BMW or Fiat does something to you. For example, researchers were unable to fully determine whether SUVs attract antisocial drivers, or whether driving an SUV makes someone antisocial. Of course it is also possible to do both.
Not the first investigation
Numerous studies have been conducted on the drivers of certain car brands. BMW and Audi in particular are grateful guinea pigs, because apparently people like to poop on these drivers. For example, male BMW drivers would like to wear lingerie and be the most antisocial. Audi drivers are apparently notorious cheaters.
