The works of the Polish team have positively impressed Tencent.
The Chinese giant Tencent he also gets his hands on the talented Polish studio Bloober Team, responsible for Layers of Fear, The Medium, Observer and Blair Witch. Investing is actually Serene Century Limited, owned by Tencent, which bought 22% of the firm’s shares, for almost 20 million dollars (over 16 million euros).
The company is therefore now majority shareholder of Bloober Team, after the studio has entered into some partnerships with Konami and Take-Two of which, however, the reason is not known (did anyone say Silent Hill?).
It is not clear at the moment if there will be any particular changes caused by this move by Tencent in the future projects of Bloober Team, also in relation to the more or less independent nature of the studio, which may or may not be questioned. But it is still likely that there will be no particular changes in the near future.
The latest creature from the Polish studio, The Medium, was generally welcomed positively, so we can only expect further steps forward in the next projects, also considering the important investment just received.
