The rap artist isn’t going to fund with the NFT craze – at least not yet.
American rap artist Kanye West announces that it does not intend to create virtual NFT ownership, nor does it fund the craze – at least for now.
The musician, who changed to Ye in October, shared his views on NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, on Instagram on Monday.
On Instagram, he published a picture of a piece of paper with a handwritten note that his purpose is to “build genuine products in the real world”. The musician also asked not to be asked to create an NFT right.
However, West left the right to deviate from his opinion because the note read that he could be asked again later.
NFT is a cryptographic tool developed in 2017. They are basically digital certificates of authenticity. The owner of a digital work is marked in a block chain from which ownership can be verified.
NFTs have become a drug during a pandemic. Over the past couple of years, NFT has sold digital works of art, tweets and memes.
Among the celebrities, including the former first woman in the United States Melania Trump said in December, plans to sell ownership of a work called Melania’s Vision.
Also a social celebrity Paris Hilton and Star Trek actor William Shatner have brought NFT rights for sale, says news agency Bloomberg.
Among the companies, for example, is the German clothing manufacturer Adidas published NFT collection.
Last year, about $ 44 billion (about $ 39 billion) worth of NFTs were traded on NFT marketplaces, according to software company Chainalysis, Bloomberg says.
