The State Department said that Blinken, on the eve of the G20 meeting, discussed the results of the G7 summit with Kuleba
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba the results of the G7 and NATO summits, the upcoming G20 ministerial meeting, as well as issues of Ukrainian grain exports. About it reported in the press service of the US Foreign Office.
“They discussed the upcoming meeting of G20 foreign ministers <...> and the outcome of the G7 and NATO summits, which underlined the firm determination of allies and partners to support Ukraine,” the press release says.
It is noted that the US Secretary of State briefed his Ukrainian counterpart on multilateral efforts to resume “agricultural exports from Ukrainian ports”, which Russia allegedly prevents militarily.
Earlier, the US State Department announced that Blinken had no plans to meet with Lavrov at the G20 summit. According to the department, the secretary of state intends to fully participate in meetings within the ministerial format, but at the same time avoid doing business “as usual” with representatives of Russia.
