BK Brasil, operator of Burger King in Brazil, announced this Sunday, 31, that it has given up taking control of DP Brasil, owner of Domino’s Pizza in the country. The deal, announced in July, would create a network with 1,200 restaurants – including the Popeye’s units, also managed by BK Brasil.
In a material fact, the company informed that the deal was dissolved “after the parties’ reassessment of the current market conditions”. The termination of the acquisition, however, preserves BK Brasil’s preemptive right in the acquisition of control of DP Brasil for 12 months.
