It is not the only alternative. Also the bilingual FP It is making its way among students when it comes to choosing their future due to the employability possibilities it opens up. Currently, various sectors of activity require that new incorporations have language knowledge. This is the case of logistics and specific professions such as, for example, that of a forklift driver for which a B1 level of English is required.
These job options are increasing interest in bilingual vocational training in Aragon. This has led to the fact that in this autonomous community a total of 76 bilingual vocational training cycles in English and French, from 17 professional families, totaling 1,650 students this academic year.
It is a training that is taught in 40 centers of the Aragonese territory, having a special presence in the provincial capitals, but also the rural environment with training centers in towns such as Barbastro, Monzón, Fraga, Sabiñánigo, Alcañiz, Calatayud, Ejea and Valderrobres.
“It is an attractive option for the student. It provides added value by being able to function in English or French. It is useful for students,” says Luis Mallada, general director of Planning, Centers and Vocational Training, who has reiterated his commitment to FP, training that this academic year has 27,628 students enrolled after creating 1,700 new places. And the goal is to implement 1,500 places for the next academic year.
Bilingual FP thus makes its way to students, which is also noticeable in mobilities, since in this course “more than half of the last four years have been granted.” Among the main destinations – there are 20 destination countries – France, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Belgium and the Czech Republic stand out.

And in order to publicize all the options and possibilities of bilingual FP, the Feel Power event at the Zaragoza Congress Palace on days December 4 and 5 under the motto “FP moves the world”.
This congress, promoted by the Department of Education of the Government of Aragon with the support of the company Edelviveswill delve into the potential of this training in order to boost talent and employability of the Aragonese professionals of the future.
Feel Power is also organized with the aim of being a “meeting point” between the public administration, teachers, universities and companies. It is also intended to provide teachers with updated methodological training to effectively implement these training cycles.
During the two days, it is expected that about 900 people attend to the different scheduled events such as presentations and interventions by experts. For its part, Maria Cominhead of Education at Microsoft Spain, will provide useful tools for bilingual learning in vocational training classrooms.
The activities are completed with the events organized by Edelvives. Among them, figure ‘Take your 3!’, a forum within which specialists in vocational training and bilingualism will debate the internationalization of education in an innovative format.
It will also take place ‘Everything at 10‘ to bring first-person experiences from six centers in Aragon and two in Madrid and Seville. The teachers and students of these centers will share, for ten minutes, their real experience with bilingual Vocational Training.
Finally, it will take place Future Ready where companies that welcome vocational training students for their company training and that hire them, once they graduate, will share their experiences on the incorporation of these professionals.
