US President Joe Biden made a slip of the tongue when talking about possible measures against Russia in the event of its “invasion” of Ukraine. This is reported RIA News.
In his speech at a press conference following a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the president almost said that Germany intended to attack Ukraine.
“Let me answer the first question first. If Germany … if Russia invades, that is, if tanks and troops cross the border of Ukraine again, then there will be no Nord Stream 2, we will put an end to it, ”said the US president.
At the same press conference, Chancellor Scholz noted that Germany and the United States, speaking about the fate of the Russian gas pipeline, are acting absolutely unanimously. He noted that tough sanctions could be imposed against Russia, and these would be coordinated and unified measures from the West.
