US President Joe Biden warned on Friday that Russia will pay “a heavy price” if it uses chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine. He assured that Washington will defend “every inch” of territory from NATO allies.
Speaking to journalists at the White House, Biden also stressed that he wants to avoid any direct confrontation between NATO and Russia, because that would mean the start of World War III.
