US President Joe Biden will not be able to attend the 60th birthday party of former American leader Barack Obama. About it informs edition of The Hill with reference to a White House spokesman.
The politician refused to celebrate his colleague’s anniversary because of a planned working trip to Delaware. “Although President Biden cannot be present this weekend, he hopes to soon meet with former President Obama and duly welcome him to the 60s club,” the White House said.
More than 400 guests have been invited to celebrate Obama’s jubilee on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Famous director Steven Spielberg, TV presenter Oprah Winfrey and actor George Clooney have already confirmed their presence at the party. All attendees are required to take a coronavirus test prior to the event.
On July 29, it was reported that Biden, during his speech in Pennsylvania, made a reservation and confused Obama with another American leader, Donald Trump. Talking about the auto industry crisis in 2009, he said that “then President Trump” instructed him to tackle the problem. After a misunderstanding, the politician apologized and noted that it was a “Freudian slip.”
