The Italian tennis player witnessed the end of Wembley between Italy and England: “I suffered a lot, maybe I even brought a little good”
“This success repays me for the bitterness for the defeat at Wimbledon. I came to the stadium on purpose, I saw from the second half and maybe I even brought a little good … I suffered a lot”. Matteo Berrettini told Rai about the blue success at Wembley, after the defeat at Wimbledon with Djokovic. “Now the Olympics, another great goal and let’s see what happens”, added Berrettini.
What a tension …
“While they were taking the penalties I was worse off than my parents in the Wimbledon stands,” he said again. “It was a very busy day – he concluded – but it ended in the best possible way. Too bad for me, but we hope there are other occasions. They have won a game more than me, I hope to make it back next year. Cheering for the Azzurri “gave me a lot of emotional boost because being on the bubble it was great to join my team to give us strength”.
