French international footballer Wissam Ben Yedderformer of Toulouse, Seville and Monacohas been sentenced to two years in prisonalthough without the obligation to enter it, for sexually assaulting while intoxicated to a 23-year-old girl between September 6 and 7 of this year.
Ben Yedder, 34, who last season was one of the best scorers in the French League by scoring 16 goals for Monaco, was also convicted of ignoring a police check. He Nice Correctional Court (southeast) also sanctioned him with a fine of 5,000 euros and a six-month driving license suspension.
